Not what I expected…

So I’m back in Philly again after my weekend in Pittsburgh for the Technology in the Arts Conference at Carnegie Mellon.
My sister and I left Philadelphia at 4 AM Friday morning and drove up there in torrential downpours with only 2 hours of sleep. Needless to say we stopped at about every rest stop along the way for coffee, soda, and snacks. But, we made good time and arrived around 10 am. more »

My Team of Engineers

I met the team of senior engineering students who will be creating the “Text Rain” simulation for the beginning of my piece. The system will have to track the dancer at approximately 30Hz aggregate rate and 5cm precision, be completely wirelessly operated, and integrated into a data collection system. We plan on testing technologies such as video tracking, ultrasound, IEEE 802.11, and wireless sensor networks. more »
